What is Flowise?

Flowise is an open-source platform for building AI agents and LLM applications through a no-code visual interface. Its drag-and-drop node-based editor connects prompts, tools, APIs, and memory modules to create AI agents without coding. It offers three builder modes (Assistant for beginners, Chatflow for single agents, and Agentflow for multi-agents) to accommodate different skill levels. Human-in-the-Loop functionality controls workflows with human approval, and API/SDK/embedded widgets enable seamless integration with existing systems. Flowise was acquired by Workday in August 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is Flowise free to use?

A. The self-hosted version is completely free as open source. The cloud version also has a free plan (2 flows, 100 predictions/month), but Starter ($35/month) or higher is recommended for production use.

Q. How does it differ from Dify?

A. Flowise specializes in visual flow building with a node-based development approach. Dify is a more integrated platform offering RAG, prompt IDE, and backend APIs comprehensively. Flowise suits simpler agent builds, while Dify is better for complex AI apps.

Q. Is programming knowledge required?

A. Basic agent building can be done with no code. However, creating custom tools or configuring APIs may require some technical knowledge.
